Dole Whips

I found this recipe and had to try it. My family went to Disneyland every December growing up and I love love love the Dole Whips that you get by the Tiki Room! There were a few things I would change with the recipe though. I found that when it is complete if you mix it with vanilla ice cream it tastes sooo much better! Also, if you save all of the pineapple juice while draining the cans you can pour it over the top - so yummy! Give it a try! You can find the origional recipe through this link, but I will give you my directions as well. Enjoy! {http://prudencepennywise.blogspot.com/2011/03/dole-pineapple-whips-from-magic-kingdom.html} What you will need :

-TWO 20oz cans of Dole Crushed Pineapple

-TWO tablespoons Lemon juice

-TWO tablespoons Lime Juice

-1/3 cups Sugar

-1 1/2 cups Heavy Whipping Cream

(-Vanilla Ice Cream)

{Blender/Cups/Spoons/Straws/Mixing Bowl, Stirring Spoon, 2 Freezer Bags}Directions :

-Drain pineapple and set aside (all) the juice.

-Place pineapple, lemon juice, lime juice, sugar, and 2 tablespoons of the reserved juice in the blender, cover and blend until smooth.

-Pour into Two 1Quart freezer zipped bags.
-Store bags flat in the freezer for 90minutes {or until slushy}.-Pour slush into a bowl and add your 1 1/2 cups of heavy whipping cream.

-Stir pineapple slush gently into whipped cream.-Repeat the process of pouring into the freezer bags. {i was lucky to have a helping husband}-Place mixture flat in the freezer until completely frozen, about 1 hour.
Mine didn't seem to turn out as pretty as the ones at Disneyland, but they still tasted pretty good...I guess we will have to make a trip there soon!
Don't forget to add half of your Pineapple mix with half Vanilla Ice Cream-it tastes so yummy!
Invite some friends over and enjoy.
